On occasion it’s important to honour poets whose work continues to challenge, fascinate, and edify us — to draw together our Elsewhere Community so as to remind ourselves that our work is in concert with others. The poetry of Paul Celan presents us with a body of work that far exceeds this measure. 2020 not only signifies the one hundredth anniversary of Paul Celan’s birth but also marks the fiftieth yahrzeit of his death. Paul Celan/100 is a reading in celebration of his life, poetry, and the translational practices that accompanied it, as well as the varied poetries his work has inspired.

Poets taking part include Erín Moure, Mark Goldstein, Jaclyn Piudik, Phil Hall, Oana Avasilichioaei and R. Kolewe.
