Grey Hen is a small independent press based in Keighley, West Yorkshire, England. The press’ aim is to publish poetry by older women. They are concentrating in the first instance on producing anthologies, which are themed to showcase the particularity of women’s voices, and give less well-known poets the opportunity of having their work published alongside that of established writers.
The Grey Hen Poetry Competition is for women over 60 only. Those who will reach 60 before the end of June 2013 are eligible. Poems should be up to 40 lines, on any theme, previously unpublished, and not accepted for future publication.
