This event is part of Third Thursdays Poetry, a monthly reading series with Brookline Booksmith.
Natalie Wee is a queer creator whose work explores themes of race, gender, queerness, and nationhood, and is deeply informed by grassroots communities. She wrote two poetry collections, Our Bodies & Other Fine Machines (San Press, 2021) and Beast At Every Threshold (Arsenal Pulp Press, 2022). Born in Singapore to Malaysian parents, Natalie is currently a settler in Tkaronto. Learn more at natalieweewrites.com.
Brandon Wint is a poet, spoken word artist and multi-disciplinary collaborator based in western Canada. He is the author of one collection of poetry: Divine Animal (Write Bloody North, 2020).
Janika Oza is a writer based in Toronto. She is the winner of the 2022 O. Henry Prize for Short Fiction, and her stories and essays appear in The Kenyon Review, Catapult, The Best Small Fictions 2019 Anthology, and others. Her debut novel, A History of Burning, is forthcoming from Grand Central Publishers in May 2023.
Jody Chan is a writer, drummer, organizer, and therapist based in Toronto/Tkaronto. They are the author of haunt (Damaged Goods Press), all our futures (PANK), and sick (Black Lawrence Press), winner of the 2018 St. Lawrence Book Award and 2021 Trillium Award for Poetry.
