The Centre for New Writing at The University of Manchester is delighted to host the 3rd British and Irish Contemporary Poetry Conference. Like its predecessor conferences, at St Anne’s in Oxford and Queens University Belfast, this one aims to engage poets and critics in new conversations about recent British and Irish poetry, re-assessing and contesting prevailing ideas about poetry’s relation to the present and the past, and tracking new developments in poetics.
