The Bangalore Review showcases poetry in English and translations. We are interested in poetry that is cutting edge, but also evocative and startling in its truth and storytelling capacities. We look forward to poetry that is fresh and gives beauty a dimension, poetry that has a cause and purpose. We look forward to poetry that resonates with a deeper intellect and soul, poetry that is alive, brave and defining – poetry that transcends boundaries and makes living an interesting continuum.

Note: Rolling deadline

Poetry is reviewed on a rolling basis. You may send end up to four poems per submission. We are not very particular on line limits. As a guideline, you may consider that the shortest accepted work of poetry was three lines, the longest one was several pages long and the average poetry submission we publish is around 20 lines. Exceptional pieces of longer length have also been considered and published as a series running over several months.

We read all submissions within 180 days, and will contact you if we’re interested in publishing your material. If you have not heard from us within 180 days, you may assume that we may not be able to publish your work.

We charge a nominal submission fee of $3 per submission. Submission fees are non-refundable. This fee will help cover submission processing fees, hosting fees and ongoing operational costs. This fee will also help us remunerate contributors for their efforts.
