Saturday, February 6, 2016 United Black Book Clubs of Pittsburgh (UBBCP) is sponsoring The Twenty-Seventh National African American Read-In. The event will be hosted by Terrance Hayes and his wife, Yona Harvey, both international award winning poets and educators. The afternoon’s theme of the selected works to be read is “Celebrating Our Roots.” The readings will include children’s books of all genre written by African, African-American, African-Caribbean and all writers of the Diaspora.
