We are pleased to announce our virtual masterclass with the U of A’s Writer-in-Residence, Bänoo Zan! Join us on Monday, November 7, 2022 from 7 to 8:20 p.m. MST. We welcome writers of all genres and levels of experience.

A poet, librettist, translator, teacher, editor and poetry curator, Bänoo has over 200 published poems and poetry related pieces as well as three books:

Song of Phoenix: Life and Works of Sylvia Plath
Songs of Exile
Letters to My Father

She is also the founder of Shab-e She’r (Poetry Night), Toronto’s most diverse poetry reading and open mic series that bridges the gap between communities of poets from different ethnicities, nationalities, religions, (or lack thereof), ages, genders, sexual orientations, disabilities, poetic styles, voices and visions.
