Like sands through the hourglass, so another night of Canada’s finest literary readings is upon us. This September edition of Common Readings boasts the return of two favourite local writers — Kateri Lanthier and Aaron Tucker — the former recently published an acclaimed sophomore book, Siren, with Signal Editions, and the latter moving into vast realms of prose with an astounding debut novel, Y: Oppenheimer, Horseman of Los Alamos (Coach House Books). Common Readings also welcomes a talented new upstart poet and novelist, currently charming the literary hearts of the U of T Creative Writing graduate program, my friend and yours: Zak Jones.
