The Korean poet and activist Ko Un makes a rare Chicago appearance. A former Buddhist monk and political prisoner, he has published more than 150 books, and has been translated into dozens of languages. The recipient of many honors, he has twice won the South Korean Literature Prize and also received the Griffin Trust’s Lifetime Recognition Award.
