A Wayzgoose was the traditional party given by a master printer to his workmen at the summer’s end, when the season of working by candlelight began. Coach House Books’ annual Wayzgoose is more of a collegial get-together when friends, authors and readers can visit the Coach House, tour the premises and learn how books are printed and bound. And unlike your average downy Wayzgoose, this year’s Wayzgoose will be shod in gold to celebrate 50 years of Coach House!
