Michael Hofmann – poet, translator, critic – has been an iconic figure for his generation. His poetry continues to be a defining influence on younger writers; his translations (of Joseph Roth, Wolfgang Koeppen, Herta Müller and many others) have enlarged our world.
An evening of readings and conversation in celebration of Michael Hofmann will feature the editors of The Palm Beach Effect, several of its impressive list of contributors, and, of course, Michael himself.
