On May 11, Barbadian literary icon Kamau Brathwaite will turn 85 years of age. To celebrate this milestone birthday, and in full recognition that the best time to honour someone is when they can join in the festivities with you, ArtsEtc would like to offer Brathwaite some literary candles – but they need your help to do it. The editors are presently inviting writers to submit work to appear online in ArtsEtc No. 31. This issue’s content will essentially be dedicated to Kamau’s work, life and legacy.
