Thousands of wordsmiths, writers and authors have graced Cambridge Literary Festival stages since it began as began as Cambridge Wordfest in 2003, and have enthralled, entertained, educated and sometimes enraged their audiences. The festival now welcomes over 350 writers and speakers to Cambridge each year and stage events which cover a huge variety of topics.

The festival offers debate on current issues, presents the literary greats alongside debut writers, hosts scientists, artists, politicians, comedians, historians, journalists, poets, and provides a vibrant programme of events for younger audiences. This year’s online edition includes such luminaries as Jay Bernard, Raymond Antrobus, Matt Haig and many more.
