The first ever Young Poet Laureate for London will be announced on Thursday 3 October 2013. This initiative was started by Spread the Word, London’s writer development agency. They discover talent and exciting new voices in communities others can’t reach. They uniquely hold a portfolio of new writer development programmes alongside services for established writers, creating a vibrant environment in which talent is nurtured and in which great writing can flourish.
