mama - i'm a - pit
where's my name?
window frame
crossbeam holding it
God flew out the wound
picking up the soul
sutures - surgical
autoclave for pain
body's silent frame
house grown cold
love can't find in it
shelter or accord
mama - how - a pit
run til you catch up
cry aloud, sob
fallen on your back
god, i accept
all your paths
but they can't be moved
but they must be left
all the little ones
only barely learned
their first words
from a mother's tongue
from a mother's hands
mama - pit - self
how's he now
mama - pit - how?

mama - i'm a - pit
